Keiko Ruwhiu
Meet Keiko Ruwhiu
I am your local Grand Master Behaviour Therapist for Bark Busters Home Dog Training in Auckland. I am the recipient of the John Sharman Award for Excellence 2012, the Founders Award 2014 and the Office of the Year 2016 for Bark Busters Australasia.
I have been a dog lover my whole life. And I am the proud owner of two; Abbie, a Bearded Collie Labrador cross that came from the SPCA, and Whisky, a miniature Fox Terrier I inherited from my late in-laws.
Like people, dogs have their own personalities and temperament and no two dogs are the same. We will assess your dog and tailor a programme to suit its personality and your needs. Then we will show you how to communicate with your dog in a language that it can understand.
I first came into contact with Bark Busters as a client because of difficulties I was having with Abbie barking when I was away from home. I was so convinced by the Bark Busters method I became a Bark Busters therapist. Now more than 1000 dogs later, I am an even more fervent believer. If you follow the system and be consistent, you can solve almost any dog behavioural problem.
Bark Busters DOES NOT use physical or harsh dog training techniques such as dog shock collars, choke collars, electronic collars or prong collars. Instead, we focus on friendly, holistic and natural training methods using voice tone and body language. And it works on any Breed, at any Age and for any Problem.
Clients see results literally in the very first session! Many of my clients come to me after other types of dog training methods have failed. Don’t give up on your dog without working with us first. We have saved over one million dogs across the world that would have been given up on or put to sleep without our training.
I will show you how to solve unwanted behaviours such as: Nuisance Barking , Whining, Scratching, Jumping, Not Coming (Recall), Digging, Chewing, Mouthing, Nipping, Biting, Aggression, Sibling Rivalry, Separation Anxiety, Pulling on Lead, Escaping, Boundary Control, Door/Gate Manners, Toilet Training, Puppy Training, Basic Dog Obedience. And MORE!
We offer a Lifetime Support Guarantee that will give you peace of mind knowing you have a training partner for the life of your dog. This guarantee is also transferable to more than 300 Bark Busters offices in 7 countries around the world.
Please contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to learn more about how I can help change your relationship with your dog for the better .

Meet Mark Gall
My passion for dogs, meeting people and helping out is why I love this vocation. If you love your work, then its not really work is it? Giving back to the dog community and seeing people reconnect with their loved pets brings me joy.
I’m Bark Busters Master Behavioural therapist and trainer for Canterbury, West Coast, Nelson and Marlborough. I’m based in Christchurch and over the years have expanded to the rest of the South Island. Since 2015, Wellington and the Kapiti Coast have been under my umbrella.
Many years ago, my lifestyle needed a change, as my young family grew and my business at the time stole too much of my free time. Bark Busters NZ was looking to expand to Christchurch, we looked, we liked, we bought. Having never lived in a house without a dog, working with them seemed a natural progression. At the time I had a pushy husky who local trainers had failed to help. This motivated me to become a trainer myself.
The 20 years of experience I can give benefit many people in places that can’t get to dog training normally. That’s where the global family of Bark Busters comes in. Word of mouth has spread this business far and wide. There isn’t a lot I haven’t seen but we are always evolving techniques to better your dog/human relationship. We cover behaviour from puppy management to anxious and aggressive issues. All dogs, all breeds, all problems. We teach you the owners to teach your dogs in a manner they can relate to.
When I worked on farms I’d see farmers become frustrated at great dogs who misinterpreted tasks. In town it’s no different, I see owners struggle. Communication is the key to guide dogs through our human ways, with no harsh methods. Its so satisfying to see timid dogs build confidence and pushy dogs settle and relax with their newfound family bond.
Basically, we can restore some sanity to your home with simple and easy steps through a program that keeps you on track. A win for the clients, a win for the dogs and a win for the vets and councils too, because a happy dog is a happy family. I look forward to hearing from you soon and starting your own experience, our lifetime support guarantee means we are with you all the way.
