Bark Busters Reviews and Customer Testimonials

23rd January 2025 - Keith Mockett

Keith dealt with Barking, Chewing, Hyperactivity, Jumping up, Pulling, Puppy management, Separation anxiety

Keith is highly personable, reassuring and relatable. The methods and techniques he has shared are working and he explains the how and why of "talking dog". I like the idea of the ongoing support for any behavioural issues that might crop up later. Would recommend as it has given me peace of mind I was looking for in terms of nurturing good behaviour and curbing undesirable behaviour.

Thanks Cam. It's great to start early and get you all heading in the right direction. He's a gorgeous Golden Retriever puppy and finding his way in his home and the world. Your guidance will help him immensely to be a happy dog, and you all to be a happy family. I'm pleased to be helping. Looking forward to seeing his progress.

Had bark busters around to help with Rosie's walking on lead, jumping, chewing. I know these are generally puppy traits but wanted to start enjoy having Rosie around.

There's a bit to work on with this Cocker Spaniel but she, and you will get there. She's a bit stubborn but you've already seen some progress and your consistency and persistence will pay off.

Very clear explanations and reasons in response to our enquiries. Patient, good humoured and very knowledgeable. Please note that we agreed not all aspects of our concerns would be covered at this first meeting, hence "no" to question below.

Like most dogs there's a bit to work on and people can't do it all at once, life get's in the way. That's why our Life of the Dog Support Guarantee is such good value, we come back to help you move onto some of the other behaviours. I'm glad you found my explanations clear, it helps when applying the lessons to understand the "why" as well as the "how". Onwards and upwards!

Requires consistent commitment from the household members (leaders), but the impact and response from our beloved Zara is immediate. Its been under a week now, and very comforting to know that she is relaxed within the walls of the house. We tried to implement the training we received for outdoors and though it will take a few attempts, we are confident that we have been equipped with the knowledge to make her feel relaxed outdoors as well. Thanks Keith for your continued support.

Thank you. I look forward to seeing more of the improvements but it sounds like you have made great progress in just a week. We get a number of these Maltese X Bichon dogs with barking behaviour and they respond well to clear communication and leadership. Consistency and persistence is important as you have found out already. Great work, keep it up. We'll have another session to do some fine-tuning, as per our Life of the Dog Support Guarantee.

Keith is brilliant - only had our first session with a small but feisty 3 month old. I’ve owned dogs for over 20 years, but puppy just wasn't responding how I expected. Mandy is now coming on leaps and bounds - within 1 week toileting and nipping were under control! Highly recommend

Thanks Kim. That's excellent news, well done all of you! It's amazing what clear communication and leadership does for the dog, and the humans. Keep at it, be consistent and persistent and it will become ingrained in you and the dog. Cheers.

Thanks Katherine, I appreciate your feedback. I enjoyed our session and meeting you all and your Siberian Husky puppy. He's got a lot of change to go through as he grows to adulthood and I'm looking forward to working with you all. Go well!

28th September 2024 - Keith Mockett

We have only had one session with Keith so far and we have already seen huge changes! Nala used to be quite aggressive towards my husband to the point where he couldn’t even sit down in the lounge in the evening without Nala biting him. It’s now been two weeks since we met Keith and Nala has not bitten my husband once! She has tried but using the tools Keith taught us has put Nala in her place immediately and it has made such a huge difference to her behaviour. She is now much more settled in the evening and doesn’t bark every time someone walks past our house. We still have a lot to work on, but I now have seen what this type of training can achieve and I am looking forward to making more improvements because it really is helping our whole family.

- F.W, Wellington (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Keith
Thank you Fiona. It's amazing what communication and leadership do for anxious dogs like Nala. She's obviously calmer and happier. And you must have been doing the homework to get the results so far. Be consistent and persistent and she'll continue to improve. Looking forward to seeing the progress with my next visit as part of our Life of the Dog Support Guarantee. Well done everyone!

Keith was amazing. We are fostering a Frenchie who is 6years old. It was so obvious we had implemented good clear boundaries and rules in the past with our much larger breeds, and our past Frenchie. You can implement those rules as a puppy but rehoming and fostering you can allow leniency because you feel sorry or guilty they are adjusting to new people and new home. Still a work in progress but highly recommend for novice and experienced owners. It was great to have an expert like Keith provide us all with great advice and solutions.

- R.W, Tawa (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Keith
Thanks Rebecca. It was a pleasure to help. He responded really well from the start which is a great sign. Lucky Frenchie getting this new home with people who care and understand it's not a smooth transition. As you recognise, clear boundaries and sticking to them is essential to helping him settle and feel at home in his new home. Good job!

Keith was excellent. Provided a lot of info in a very digestible manner. We immediately realised we had been making some errors in the way we had been managing and teaching Nui but I’m pleased to say, after just a few days of the training lessons, we are already seeing some small improvements. We are very thankful and so pleased we contacted Keith when we did.

- K.P, Upper Hutt (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Keith
Thank you. I'm pleased you found the info digestible. I do think the "why" is important, along with the "how". Hopefully Nui's big goofy younger sister will get with the programme as well. They do learn off each other, good and bad! I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements.

The training provided was amazing, taught us so many things we had no idea about. it has only been a couple of days but Storm is already responding so well to everything we have been implementing. Such a relief to finally have some control over storm and the household is so much calmer and happier now that he is listening and responding to us. I will be recommending the training to other friends and family.

- l.j, porirua (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Keith
Thank you! Clear communication and an understanding of the principles of leadership are making it easy for him to be the Dachshund you want him to be. Well done all of you!! Don't forget, it is important to be consistent and persistent, they do test the boundaries every now and then to check that you're serious. The other dogs will be relieved to have a calmer happier home, especially at their ages. Calmer and happier dog = calmer and happier family!
