When I got a new puppy, I contacted Keiko, who I had used with my older two dogs a few years ago. She was again absolutely brilliant, Zephyr (the puppy) responded well to her training. But she picked up a potential hearing problem - it turned out Zephyr was born without a right ear drum, so definitely struggled to hear. Keiko worked with me on strategies to deal with a deaf dog, how to use body language rather than words, so he can better understand what I want from him. She also assisted with leash training, Zephyr is a 30 kg boofhead Blue American Staff, so powerful!! After half an hour, he was walking much better on a leash and I had much better control. Keiko has been responsive to all my questions and explains things in a way even I can get. She is patient with people (and amazing with dogs too) which I need because my hand eye co-ordination is not the best, sometimes neither is my listening. I couldn't recommend Bark Busters more and am very pleased that Keiko could make time to help with little Zephyr. We see Bark Busters as an important investment in the happiness of our miniature schnauzer Lulu, and our own sanity! We were anxious about whether it would work and if we would gel ok with the trainer. We shouldn't have worried! Keiko is amazing and clearly communicated the changes we needed to make, and also the reasoning behind them. We have a plan for Lulu and are excited to see a calmer, less barky pup.

We're a week in to our dog education after having Keiko here and it's already been life changing! Massive issues with barking, jumping up to greet people and other inappropriate behaviour. We've been following the training programme daily as outlined and can already see the impact and long term outcomes this is going to have for us. Absolutely outstanding!

Today was my first session with Keiko and it gave me so much confidence to see how fast my dogs responded also Keiko is very good at explaining her tools and how they work. Please if you need help with your pet, you have found the right person.

We were very impressed with Keiko and our first session. Keiko explained the theory behind the method and then walked us through techniques with Ruby to practice. We have seen a noticeable improvement with her barking immediately and Keiko is very quick to respond to questions which has helped us improve our walks already. We are looking forward to further sessions to help us tackle some of the other rules we want to implement with Ruby.

She is a diligent and experienced trainer/therapist and very good at what she does. She provided valuable tools to help us be the best Pack Leader to Sydney, our cocker spaniel. She was exceptionally meticulous when articulating the techniques. She was also very patient and encouraging whilst we practiced her methods. It’s early days still, but we are pleasantly surprised by our immediate successes. As practice makes perfect, we persist daily with the training schedule that Keiko encouraged us to maintain. We couldn’t believe the change we saw in Zinny on the first day. Keiko explained why Zinny behaves the way he does and a lot of what she said made sense. The training tips are very simple and are making a huge difference. His pulling when walking has improved immensely in only a couple of days and I actually enjoy walking him now. His barking has definitely reduced and we have been able to redirect his attention when he is growling or barking at neighbours or cats. 3 days after our training someone tried to break into our house during the night and Zinny responding perfectly by alerting us and scaring off the intruder, we were so grateful for him protecting us like he did. We can’t wait to see the changes in Zinny over the next few weeks!

Keiko was very thorough and patient. She took into account our young children and need to make things safe for both our puppy and our children (and other children). The advice extended to a holistic approach and we learned a lot. Also fantastic is having follow up to work through the things that come up.

Keiko was so professional and knowledgeable. She worked so well with our family and Bernie and dog. She was very accommodating in the times she could meet us and at no time did we feel Bernie was a lost cause and we actually think he has changed in just 2 days.

I have a 9 month old Husky/ German Shepherd X and needed help training her. Remy is sweet, sassy and a little stubborn. She is really anxious out by roads, very distracted and quite reactive. Keiko has been a big help and given me a lot of encouragement and hope. Walking her on a leash made me anxious as she would just pull and react to everything around her (including trying to chase every car that drove past) I have had a few sessions with Keiko and saw immediate improvements in Remy's behaviour. She has become more obedient and responsive. Remy is learning to walk on her leash without pulling or biting it. We are now working with her out on my busy street. With Keiko's help Remy is learning to sit by the road (not chasing cars) and is learning to stay focused on me. I am feeling less anxious and I'm pretty sure Remy is too! When Aunty Keiko comes to teach us Remy is a show off and does what Aunty Keiko tells her to do - this shows me that Remy is capable! I'm so grateful to have Keiko's support and expertise and it's so good knowing I can contact her whenever I have any questions or need help.
