We had Mark in to help us with our 12 week old dachshund puppy, Poppy. Having never trained a dog we didn’t know where to start. Mark put us at ease straight away. He had a really lovely manner with Poppy, and our kids. The training was explained really thoroughly. Whilst different to what we’d previously been told by family etc, this new form of training makes so much sense and is very logical to follow. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mark to anyone. Looking forward to putting it all to practice. Poppy seems to respond beautifully.

Stressed, skeptical but desperate, we contacted Mark having read his reviews on Facebook. We have two English Pointers, Poppy and Lilly and a Bullmastiff Sharpei cross all with different issues. Two weeks out from moving from a 10 acre block to 500m by the beach house, I finally bit the bullet and contacted Mark.
Dogs have run free off lead for a couple of years and have parents with different handling styles. Husband, typical Kiwi, she'll be alright and me tearing my hair out because of the barking at anything.
Our first session was yesterday. Within a couple of hours we saw amazing results. Training with Poppy and Sully I managed to walk both dogs on lead and off lead! This morning I was sure I would not remember anything. No worries though, feeding time was a breeze. I opened the door, gave one correction and all three dogs sat and let me go out first. I even had to call them to come out I don't trust reviews, I didn't believe we would ever be able to walk the dogs without being pulled along. However, I have today, on my own whilst Hubby was at work managed a short 300m walk with all three dogs OFF LEAD to heel. They would normally just run off and ignore me. This will make a huge difference to our life near the beach. Thank you Mark for training us how to communicate with our dogs 🐕 😀

Mark was absolutely incredible , we are so so thankful , truely just in a few hours completely changed our relationship with our dog and made our dog much more relaxed in his own home. We are so happy we have the right commands now with our dog. Marks service was completely worth it and we are so grateful

Louis is a very barky , attention seeking wee man, Barks at all he can see from his front window , also toilet training issues , pulled , recall ,jumps up. I was called inf for his barking at the guests , each time they move or on arrival. The lesson went well , he responded and even walked nicely , he will be a work in progress so a revisit soon will be on the cards. Good job Louis and the mm and grandpawrent.

Mark came to our home to support us with our 14 month old Rottweiler Mavericks. We were struggling with quite a few behaviours with Mav particularly around his big emotions to other dogs, lead pulling and attention seeking. Mark thoroughly talked us through the process, acknowledged our concerns and worked with us in an encouraging supportive way to help address these concerns and correct and refocus the behaviours. By the end of the session we felt as though we had so much more understanding of how to work alongside Mavericks and by the end of the session we had results. I truely could not recommend Mark enough he is highly knowledgeable and we feel as though we have gained so much confidence back and a big weight has lifted from our shoulders.

Mavericks is a large and excitable entire Male 1 yr old Rottweiler, very reactive to other dog's and unfortunately as he pulled , recall not very good. A teenage dog with little focus. The owners after an incident needed to understand and be able to control his behaviour better. The 1st lesson went well and he's slowly improving although a work in progress. An opportunity to have a revisit a day later was good to gel all the process and skills together.

Mark spent a lot of time with me and Molly, as Molly has a few issues and I was a bit stuck on how to deal with most of them. I really appreciated Mark's commitment to working through all our concerns. Molly loved Mark and responded really well to the training I applied. She is calmer already. It is a work in progress to deal with her reactivity, but we are already going for short car journeys without the barking. And when we are out, she will sometimes now ignore cars passing by. I think she feels more trust in me now and security with me. The Wagg Walker harness is fantastic, and when I do the check of the lead, Molly knows I want something from her.
We will continue with the techniques we have been taught. Mark is very prompt to respond and I feel more confident knowing he is there to help with the lifetime support package

Molly is a rescue rehome 4yr old Staffy, who pretty much hasn't experienced any life outside her yard. Not abused Persey but never educated either. She pulls but has never been walked , ballistic in car barking , rushing cars going past and chasing of those on the street too, very hyper , jumps , pulls, rushes the doors and barks excitedly not aggressively , general pre current owner lack of boundaries or focus. The owners diligence to apply the techniques was great , even though her confidence was a bit low, but Molly responded and has got better even after only 2 days. A work in progress but now no earplugs for the car ride. Greta and awesome work Molly and mum. Check in soon.

Mark came into our home, we sat down discussed our concerns and what we wanted to work on. He put some plans into place and then showed us how to go about the plan and use the tools provided. Mark is very good at what he does. Tui and Murphy are both doing well with the training. I would reccommend Bark Busters to anyone looking for help with there dogs.

Tui is a 6 yr old collie x bully bred mix . Big barker ,puller ,jumper, dog reactive & reactive to the new puppy although that's starting to lessen. Puppy Murphy is a 4mth old Staffy who is very gentle but also anxious of life. puppy management 101 for Murphy. Both did well and the owners seemed to pick up the programming exercises well . Nice improvements even with in the lesson

Mark was very informative, friendly and clear. We were worried with our dog Goose sometimes showing aggression to strangers entering the home but Mark talked us through everything and we had no problems. Goose’s leash walking, selective hearing and reactivity at the window have all improved. We have a way to go with his excitable tendencies but at eh appt with improvements so far!

Wow! What a transformation in such a short time. Totally worth having Bark Busters guide us through the training with wee Gino 5.5mth old Mini Schnauzer with a big attitude and loud and often bark issue. But also help with all other obedience problems.

Gino is the protector of his house ,the street , any noises ,anything that moves is fair game for his attention and loud barking. Amoungst other problems of recall ,jumping up , pulling and basic focus. He responded well and the owners worked well with him too. A revisit as part of our lifetime support is soon and we'll take more steps forward to calm the wee barker boy

Mark was fantastic, he didn't just cover training, he also gave us recommendations for our dogs diet, exercise and tips on how to manage them in our home environment. We have a 3yr old Labrador and a 2 yr old Husky, and within half an hour of Mark being with the dogs we noticed a huge difference in their obedience and behaviour, so much more relaxed. I especially loved that it was all based on positive interactions with our dogs and wasn't treat based (we have a rather overweight Labrador) and the Husky is more interested in being on a mission than food.

Both dogs have their individual issues. The 18mth old Husky pulls and won't recall back , steals things and food, chases things when out. The Lab x kelpie x Vizsla barks and pulls badly. Giving the owners the tools and techniques to apply , the pack rules to know and how to develop the communication with the two dogs has settled both dogs quickly and relaxed the dogs constant pecking order challenging. Easy simple exercises to apply. Great work guys , the results were obvious in the first lesson . Keep up the great work.

Sophie was a rehome Spaniel X , 4yrs old. From previous owners abuse was scared of women would hide , lick constantly , bark at anything , o come over when called, very anxious dog. Loved Hubby but was too clingy as well. Even with in the lesson the dog was warming to Carol and we worked on Sophies boundaries , her passive dominance manipulating and basic dog rules , leading , sit stay on mat , no jumping up . This worked in giving Sophie a sense of the owners being safer and the pack secure. I'm looking forward to hearing an update soon.

We found Marks training was very informative . Its a lot to take in at one time but good to see results almost instantly and to have the notes to refer back to. Mark is very patient and it is obvious he enjoys and loves his job.

Otis the Toy Cavoodle, Big bark for a wee guy. Would jump off Anthonys knee and bark at anything , noises , kids in the culdesac. , lunge at dogs , all over thinking he needed to protect the owners. Dad has slow movements and Otis perceived himself top dog. Through simple exercises and application through the house as the owners move with him , Otis toned his reactions showed he is actually stressed with the top job. Still a work in progress but certainly getting there. Great work guys , call me for a follow-up.

Mark was here 3.5hrs explained lots very informative and helpful. Demonstrated heaps and gave me lots of assurance, both dogs were very good once we applied his process ,l am the one who needs guidance of becoming Zacs leader and protector. Had an issue yesterday so contacted Mark ,got a reply immediately, so very helpful. Hope I can do justice for Zac ,thankyou Mark l am feeling more positive with your guidance.
