Bark Busters Reviews and Customer Testimonials

5th April 2017 - Mark Gall

Mark was great, he explained everything clearly and positively. We have definitely noticed a difference in how we and Charlie behave and I'm looking forward to more improvements as we progress.

- J.G, Johnsonville, Wellington (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Charlie's going to be a great dog but certainly has a focus issue to work on . Quite headstrong too. Great work by Jacq and the family.

14th March 2017 - Mark Gall

The session gave us plenty of tools and techniques to continue to use with our dogs, we have seen instant results and are very pleased with the session today.

- J.B, Newlands, Wellington (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Unfortunately todays session was a little pushed for time as the lesson was booked a matter of a couple of days ago and I was due to fly out straight after. But even so both the dogs and Jo and Josh really got onto it well. Both dogs showed improvement and consistency and putting in the focus work will show through. Bella the younger dog really has had no successful training so far and is very exuberant and Griffy is less of an issue but still required some work. Great work guys and Girls

1st December 2016 - Mark Gall

Mark was fantastic. Scarlet had recently been attacked in our backyard. She had become more anxious, would bark a lot at the gates, when cars and people approached the house and ran the fence line. Mark trained us to retrain her. To understand why she behaved the way she did and gave us the tools to reduce all anxieties in the house. Since the session and with lots of homework we have seen improvements in Scarlet's behaviours.

- L.C, Paraparaumu Beach, Wellington (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Scarlet was a very territorial dog with big fear issues showing in the form of defensive barking. She worked brilliantly as did the owners ,committed to getting their old dog back. Used to lunge at cars, rush the fences and bark very strongly at the front door.

Many thanks for the excellent training session Mark. I didn't realize that Poppy was the equivalent of a 4 year old naughty child who was controlling me big time. She now has a BOSS. We have been out on a training session this morning and can already notice much better behavior though plenty of practice is still required. Thanks again.

- C.S, Otaki, Wellington (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Poppy is a very busy bouncy Foxy X and her Pet parent has gone through some challenges lately. Great work and all will improve as the owner applies the process. Poppy is a 4 yr old rehome dog.

I was amazed with the speed the techniques helped me get my unruly, unfocussed dog under control. We need some more work on his behaviour outside the home, but he has markedly improved inside and does what I ask without throwing a tantrum or running away!

- R.L, Newlands, Wellington (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Great wee dog and committed owner, Pippin was manic at the front door and would nip at legs and feet. Quite a strong temperament but needed some speaking dog to. Very strong on lead . Responded with the commitment and work will be a great dog. Brilliant effort by both.

A wonderful, positive experience for us and our sensitive, untrained, family dog. A year after getting our poodle puppy for the family, we were completely floundering. Buddy was still not toilet trained, suffered from separation anxiety, was unable to walk on the lead, wouldn't respond to calls to come - running wildly across roads etc if off the lead, and constantly jumping up on our legs, - the result of coming from a poor breeder who had never trained him and then compounded by our lack of knowledge to correct the situation. Mark took control from the moment he walked in the front door, sizing up Buddy and his issues straight away. It is such a huge relief to have Mark guiding and supporting us for the life of Buddy. I love that his approach is so simple and so loving and our whole family is able to apply the training. Mark was very patient listening to all our concerns and we were able to get Buddy responding straight away - I feel like we are finally communicating with our dog and as a result he is able to finally 'get' what we have been asking him to do for the last year!!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mark and I already have been spreading the word amongst friends and neighbours with dogs.

Trainer note from Mark
Awesome family, awesome dog 1.5 years old but didn't know what to do. This dog has come from a crazy dog lady house, with no rules, toilet inside ,bark behaviours from the day it was born. Thanks goodness the new owners have cared enough to take on board a dog such as this. we're proud of these folk for pure commitment and now they've started speaking dog ,little Buddy is heading in the right direction

Just what we needed, in what seemed like a short time, although it was nearly 3 hours, we understood how we could get Ice's attention which is difficult with a deaf dog. We have a long road a head of us, training ourselves and our boy but we saw a huge difference in such a short time and have already been able to use the training tools to help us whilst out in public. I feel confident that with Mark's guidance and all of our hard work we will achieve a happy friendly dog again

Trainer note from Mark
Fantastic but confused English bull terrier. Deaf and unable to understand the owners , I was called in for an aggression bite which in view of the dog s deafness would probably have been fear and misunderstanding. He gets frights easily and sometimes shows reaction but communication was very difficult until we explained the use of a sight distraction to catch his attention and then body language communication ,and lots of praise Amazing effort on the part of the owners who honestly thought they may have to put him down. Work in progress but awesome start.

Mark arrived on time and appropriately dressed in the Bark Buster uniform which presented in a professional and well prepared manner. He provided a detailed explanation of Bark Busters, the methods used by the therapists, dog behaviours and how we should expect the puppy to behave. He also undertook practical lessons with the pup and us. Over the two and half hour session we covered a comprehensive range of topics

Trainer note from Mark
Lovely couple and great wee Cavoodle pup Maisie. They have had dogs before but not a pup for a very long time. Wee Maisie and the owners responded well and ,as expected for a 9 week old, the basics will fall in place soon enough. Well done Maisies owners.

Our dog Toka is a boisterous, large, play driven puppy. Lovely nature, but behaviour pretty questionable - much more interested in (really roughly) baiting his humans to play than in listening. Mark made an immediate impression on him, and had him submitting and listening within minutes. More importantly, as first time dog owners, Mark has been teaching us how to teach him, and how to 'learn' him. We have now had two sessions with Mark, and our doggo has made much progress, as have we. We are feeling much more confident - and have gone from being eaten alive to having a puppy that we enjoy being with, and who enjoys us. We are really pleased to have gone with the life time guarantee, so that we can access on-going support while we continue to get to know our doggo as he goes through different developmental stages.

- K.N, Upper Hutt, Wellington (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
great effort by the owners to get their head around how to handle Toka. my first contact with the owners was"do we have an aggressive beast, he bites all the time" A bit of teaching and a bit of time and Toka is turning out a great wee man.

5th February 2016 - Mark Gall

We were struggling with introducing a kitten into our home alongside our middle-aged westie. Mark gave sound advice and tips to correct the behaviour that Rosie was exhibiting and this worked immediately to change the behaviour. The kitten now happily roams freely around the house and Rosie is calm and settled in his presence. Mark was great to deal with - we would happily recommend him to anyone needing help with dog issues. We haven't even booked a lesson or paid for the information, He just gave it to solve the problem fast for the safety of the pets.

- S.D, Waterloo, Wellington (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Sally rang up in a state with two Westies and a new kitten they were hassling. We had booked an appointment but the problem needed immediate attention. I gave her some advice to apply ,and she took it on board immediately. Problem solved. We didn't need the lesson and saved a cats life . Great outcome. Well done Sally

24th September 2015 - Mark Gall

We were really impressed with the practical advice from Mark and the results we see in our spaniel (Minnie) already. I like the fact that Mark came to our house, saw our environment and got the whole family involved. The way he explained things made sense and we put things into practice while Mark was there (like answering the door, going for walks, going for a drive and encountering another animals). In the week and a half since Mark's visit Minnie has stopped running to the door when someone knocks, she walks to heal (most of the time), no longer jumps up and sits calmly in our vehicles. We still have a bit of work to do with her meeting canines she doesn't know, but there are even improvements with that. I highly recommend Mark and Bark Busters.

Mark was great, Rex responded well to his commands and we are using his advice/tips every day with training rex.

Trainer note from Mark
Great dog, happens to be the splitting image of my new puppy .A beardie Very clever dog who felt the need to be in charge but with simple and focussed work will turn out a balanced clever chap. Barking in car issue was the major problem which I suspect is adrenalin driven(excuse the punn)but also lead work ,gate rushing and barking. The car will take work but the other issues showed results in just a few hours. great young couple and willing to put in the time and consistency. I look forward to hearing the on going reports and progress
