Gizzy is way more settled - rarely barks at dogs going by.A human BAH refocus is enough for him to be quiet. Gizzy is a delight to walk and mostly ignores other dogs on his walk. He still will sometimes turn into a Kujo dog without any reason but is refocussable. We are still working on the door thing as quite often he arrives at the door before us.
WE have taken his bone off him without a growl:-)
Gizzy countered my ignoring him on my arrival home by now jumping into my car when I open the door and sitting on my knee. Guess I will have to BAH at him to stop my homecoming welcome until I am ready.
So not 100% but great improvements and a work in progress.

Gizzy was boss Hogg from attention to territory protection. Great little guy but an over elevation of his job. worked well in the lesson and is refocussing better for the owners as they apply the daily programming fine tuning.

Mark was amazing with Sadie! He came in respecting how she was and helped us work on settling her until she was ready and calm to deal with. Within a 3 hour appointment my reactive dog was starting to desensitise to people coming through the door and isn’t pushing past us to be first through. Mark works miracles in the mere hours he had with us! Excited for our journey to continue and to see further improvements in my now 3yr old GSD..

Sadie is a GSD and is very protective of the owner who Sadie is a semi therapy dog for. Her roll was a bit hard for her and the arrival of the new baby has increased her protection of the pack. She pulled , jumped , huge barks and reactive at the door even for regular visitors. The owners now know Bark Busters speakdog processes to calm her and take charge of situations. She is a work in progress but heading in the right direction. Great job guys.

Mark dealt with Jumping up, Pulling, Recall
Mark went above and beyond his time with us and Bud. The change in our dog was amazing and I learnt a lot. His anxiety will take some time as he had a huge fear of guns as a weapon is needed where we live for wild animals and possums. Was getting very anxious of the boat and car travel too.

Bud is a Staffy who lives on a property with at present boat access only. He had developed various phobias and anxieties of certain actions and situations including extremely stressed on the boat and in cars. Taking him back to basics and teaching the owners to speakdog and read him better has already helped hugely. creating rules and boundaries to settle him. Coupled with serious illness Bud was just getting away with little much attention and freedom to his anxiety detriment. Hes more sensitive than the owners possibly realised and is clever with it. Nice work guys.

1st session has been an online virtual lesson to start the process of solving Bears big anxiety of dogs and barking issues as well as other obedience problems. Mark is great. He has made such a difference to our dog’s behaviour in particular Millie who was out of control. She was terrible at pulling on the lead and he stopped this in one lesson. They no longer go out and bark at every sound. They are also much calmer. Thank you Mark for giving us back our sanity and reducing our stress levels. We still have some work to do and we are looking forward to our next session.

Millie was very full on but also very smart. She responded well to training in her language and we'll fine tune on the next session. A full on breed being Huntaway x Collie x Bearded collie and 2yrs old. Awesome work guys.

22nd November 2022 - Mark Gall
Mark is absolutely amazing! He is clear, calm and encouraging! In just 1 visit, Mark has given us the skills and confidence we need to help turn our English Springer into the dog we want. This has been the best money we have ever spent on a dog. I wish we had done it sooner instead of wasting money on all the different types of training leads! The next time we get a new dog or puppy, Mark will be the first person we call.

We had Mark come around for our first in home visit, then next day we did our walk, and wow I got Astro to sit and watch as people walked nearby, a dog walked out of their house and down the road as well as a cat that came outside it's house, no pulling or barking. Absolutely amazing, normally he would pull our arm off and bark and try to get to them, our journey has only just begun with Mark but I can't wait to see how our adventure into sorting out Astros issues goes. No one down here was willing to help us but Mark put his hand up and we are so glad he did. I highly recommend Mark and BarkBusters.. Your help means so much to us.

Where do I begin! We adopted Ranger, our 18month old Golden Over a month ago. He was a terrible puller on lead. Would paw, nudge, bark and jump up for attention. Terrified of going on our kitchen floor that was lino as he slipped the day we got him and refused to go in and out of the car. Absolutely hated cars. A very sensitive boy and quite shut down with his fears. Mark was amazing! We learnt so so much and by the end of the first training session our boy hopped in and out of the car , no lead at all and walked across the lino floor many times! We have also noticed a change in how our dogs interact with each other and Ranger is more calm, not demanding attention. They also don’t walk out and open door until we say so! ? Invaluable skills every dog owner should know! We are blown away and so grateful to Mark! He’s a fantastic trainer and the dogs loved him, so did we! Can’t wait to learn more next visit! Thanks again! Would highly highly recommend booking a session with Mark for your fur babies!

I highly recommend Mark. I've used other different trainers and while they all had good intentions, they were all bit vague and only skimmed the surface in my experience. Mark asked me lots of questions even before he came and then addressed the issue deep in its roots, treating the cause instead of symptoms. My GSD boy Argo used to get super excited with anyone coming to our property to a point he couldn't handle himself, got very vocal and then sucked on his tail and got stressed out. This caused number of issues with neighbours but also very importantly I didn't want to see my best buddy like that, I wanted him to be happy. Nobody was able to help us until I approached Mark. After having Mark onsite for few hours and doing various exercises with Argo the result was unbelievable. Mark taught me how to apply his techniques, gave me a plan and rest was up to me... sort of, because Mark kept in contact and even called after couple weeks to make sure I am still on track. On top of this, I know I can call Mark with any other problems Argo would have, and he will help out, this is fantastic bonus.

Mark spent just a couple of hours with Sasha and I...what a shift! As a rescue pup I am unaware of her history and have been a little unsure of how to best train her. Mark showed me some really basic tips in gaining and maintaining respect, focus and calm from a very excitable young dog. It has made a world of difference. She still has a long way to go, but is doing so well in her training. Thanks Mark and I am looking forward to working with you in the future!

Sebastian 8mths and I are forever grateful for the visit we had with Mark today. My super intelligent rat-bag teen is now starting to learn that he is not the leader of the pack, but will still get the love and cuddles he desires…on my terms! Walking him will no longer resemble a tractor pull and the race for the door is already calmer. Can’t wait to teach my children all about reading Sebastian’s language and speaking ‘dog’. It makes me feel lots better about my crazy clever canine knowing I have some tools to work with and that support is always available when I need it. Thanks Mark, looking forward to working the Bark Busters way to see the amazing dog I know I have reach his potential!

Mark is very knowledgeable and had a lovely calm manner with our wee puppy. Mark was helpful right from the moment we first made contact, sending us lots of helpful information before our first session. We love the fact this is in home training and that reinforced the material he had sent. Mark had Tilly quickly following commands, and her owners involved in implementing these too. We would highly recommend Mark to anyone looking to train their puppy. . Mark
