2nd July 2016 - Mark Gall

Mark was amazing! He explained everything in a very simple way to understand and used easy to follow training techniques. My dog responded immediately and the change in her behaviour was instantly noticeable.

I found Mark very friendly with clear instructions on how to correct Marco's bad habets. The training programme he suggested has given us more pleasure in walking marco and confidence in his behaviour when people come to the door.

- R.H, Ashburton, Canterbury (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Awesome effort by both owner and Marco the dog. Marco's 8, Owners retired with a knee op just mending. Problems were jumping up excitable Barking at door and pulling . Both did very well. Great work guys.

Thank you Mark for your clear explanation and support for establishing my mother wolf status. Joe Gibbs was in such a state he had done lots of damage to himself until his kennel wasn't a safe place for him during the day. It was really reassuring to hear that we could tackle the big problem without having to give up everything that's neat about having a small, sometimes smoochy dog. After a month of probably 90% consistency and a few small changes I found Joe tucked up in his kennel on Friday ready for me to go to work!, The biggest problem - now almost sorted. what a relief. I'm sure its not going to be perfect all the time but I feel really confident I'm on the right track.

Trainer note from Mark
Joe was an interesting and desperate case He had significantly damaged himself escaping his kennel where he goes during the day, because of his extreme separation anxiety ,the section would no longer contain him also barking issues and territorial barking problems. The owner rang Bark Busters from Council referral, very upset and not sure whether she would be able to keep Joe, a very spirited loveable Jack Russell. We booked a lesson and the next day I had a call from the owner , she'd heard a rumour about our training and wasn't sure about Bark Busters. I explained our system and back up and we continued to do the lesson a few days later. Big improvements on the first lesson 1st revisit more steps in place, we've now had two revisits with a Text early last Friday morning "couldn't find Joe in the house before work, he'd taken himself to his kennel ready for the day relaxed and happy". Major success. Consistency, leadership applied in the correct way ,good rules and biff loads of praise for the right behaviours and nearly all problems can be overcome. Awesome effort Joe boy and Human Mum.

Excellent. Mark is sure of what he is doing and Jed responded very quickly. I had bought a puppy training book that was good but so involved it wasn't possible for me to do (have the dog tied to me so he didn't get bad habits). Thankfully Bark Busters training can be used in any environment and is practical and easy to use in everyday life. It will help our family enjoy Jed so much more. I can already see that after some use/practice it will be needed less and less often.

Mark got results from both Jack and us straight away. We were so amazed that Jack responded so quickly. Mark was great to deal with, he explained everything clearly, gave us a plan to move forward and stop having Jack rule his humans. To see results so quickly from Marks methods gave us great peace of mind.

- S.M, South New Brighton, Canterbury (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Lovely wee MR "Jack" Russell, separation anxiety issue, neighbour works nights, last chance with council . Very stressed dog when owners are not home. It took a little for the male owner to get his head around the dog rules process, definitely not the owners nature to create structure and rules but did an awesome job and saw the results of that very quickly. Credit to them for working well and hard to solve a difficult problem.

Just what we needed, in what seemed like a short time, although it was nearly 3 hours, we understood how we could get Ice's attention which is difficult with a deaf dog. We have a long road a head of us, training ourselves and our boy but we saw a huge difference in such a short time and have already been able to use the training tools to help us whilst out in public. I feel confident that with Mark's guidance and all of our hard work we will achieve a happy friendly dog again

- S.C, Brown Owl, Wellington (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Fantastic but confused English bull terrier. Deaf and unable to understand the owners , I was called in for an aggression bite which in view of the dog s deafness would probably have been fear and misunderstanding. He gets frights easily and sometimes shows reaction but communication was very difficult until we explained the use of a sight distraction to catch his attention and then body language communication ,and lots of praise Amazing effort on the part of the owners who honestly thought they may have to put him down. Work in progress but awesome start.

Mark arrived on time and appropriately dressed in the Bark Buster uniform which presented in a professional and well prepared manner. He provided a detailed explanation of Bark Busters, the methods used by the therapists, dog behaviours and how we should expect the puppy to behave. He also undertook practical lessons with the pup and us. Over the two and half hour session we covered a comprehensive range of topics

- D.C, Wellington, (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Lovely couple and great wee Cavoodle pup Maisie. They have had dogs before but not a pup for a very long time. Wee Maisie and the owners responded well and ,as expected for a 9 week old, the basics will fall in place soon enough. Well done Maisies owners.

Our dog Toka is a boisterous, large, play driven puppy. Lovely nature, but behaviour pretty questionable - much more interested in (really roughly) baiting his humans to play than in listening. Mark made an immediate impression on him, and had him submitting and listening within minutes. More importantly, as first time dog owners, Mark has been teaching us how to teach him, and how to 'learn' him. We have now had two sessions with Mark, and our doggo has made much progress, as have we. We are feeling much more confident - and have gone from being eaten alive to having a puppy that we enjoy being with, and who enjoys us. We are really pleased to have gone with the life time guarantee, so that we can access on-going support while we continue to get to know our doggo as he goes through different developmental stages.

- K.N, Upper Hutt, Wellington (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
great effort by the owners to get their head around how to handle Toka. my first contact with the owners was"do we have an aggressive beast, he bites all the time" A bit of teaching and a bit of time and Toka is turning out a great wee man.

23rd February 2016 - Mark Gall

Bert becomes very anxious with people in general and barks continually at them from a distance. He will not let anyone approach him. At the beach he will circle people and bark at them which can be quite scary for these people minding there own business. He is scared of small children and their bikes. When visitors arrive Bert barks incessantly. Mark's training has been excellent and we now have a routine for these occasions. We have a much better understanding of how Bert sees things and why he behaves the way he does. Mark has shown us how to get control back and help Bert be less anxious.

- M.S, Northwood, Canterbury (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Bert was possibly the most nervous dog I've seen for years but with careful application of the right amount of focus work and affection he's managed to become a quite relaxed dog in many of his daily situations. Unusual for a Labrador to be anxious of life. Fantastic effort and work by the owners has seen Bert start to enjoy life a bit more. Thanks for the commitment

Paddy and I had a great time learning with Mark. Paddy responded well to the techniques and I was suprised how calm he became. I'm excited to try out my new skills :)

- G.P, Ashburton, Canterbury (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Paddy is a typical 6mth old over exuberant Labrador. Lives on a Dairy farm . but hasn't a herding bone in his body. Lovely dog too full of beans. Both the owner and Paddy worked well ,took in the exercises and Paddy showed the results with a huge improvement in focus after just a couple of hours . Great job Paddy boy and owner.
