The technique was easy to follow, we noticed Monty was calmer and following commands almost immediately.
Using the BAH word has been a game changer.
We both felt engaged and the time flew by.
Trainer note from Mark
Monty is a lovely dog but so in charge, was barking at any passers by and not focussing on commands. He responded well once the programming exercises started to refocus his on a mission brain. Great work by the owners to take on board a new way of communicating with Monty.

Mark gave me and my dog Cooper great tips and training. An improvements were seen in short time. Excellent program and advise on food choices to grain free making a huge difference.

Cooper is a 4 year old lab who acted like a 6mth old, absolutely hyper most of the time people are around him and just leaps , barks , physically played constantly with very little focus ability. Was extremely hard to walk or even get to do anything. The lessen was only in the small yard and driveway because his focus ability was so small but even so changes could be seen . I'm really looking forward to seeing him is a few weeks for an update. Great determination by the owner who could easily have given up on him.

It was such a relief to see Mark arriving as I had been dealing with a barking problem with Molly since before Christmas and had had neighbour /council complaints.
Also in mid December I had fallen and broken my little finger in a number of places and had been in plaster and a splint for five weeks - meaning I couldn't take Molly out for walks either. And she had become really naughty !!!
She was absolutely fine with Mark - no big barks or nipping and he proceeded to tell me how I could train her with the aid the Bah word, and claps.
No treats as happened at dog obedience !!!
Molly has been a different dog both yesterday and today.
She is quiet but playful, great on her walks, still very dubious about the big buses and trucks - but not retreating when we watch them from the corner.
I felt like crying for joy at the end of the lesson yesterday - she is a changed girl.
Trainer note from Mark
The owner of Molly is a lovely mature lady who was definitely struggling with this young Jack Russell who has various fear issues but essentially just wanted a lead dog. That's what the owner now is in the nicest possible way with losing the great affection they have. Brilliant result and a beautiful pair together.

Mark had a very relaxed, non-judgemental manner. He explained things well and made the lesson enjoyable and the instruction easy to follow. Our dog responded well to the training and there was a marked improvement after the lesson. We continue to see improvement as we carry out the ' homework' set by Mark.

This dog is a lovely Golden retriever who absolutely ruled the roost at home but out of home , jumping , rushing doors , pulling on lead especially around certain walking area which she also got extremely worried about. Definitely a work in progress in the scared of walk areas but she'll come along as the programming is applied.

Could not be more pleased that we found Mark to help us out with Olive! Olive is a 10 month old staffy X rescue puppy with lots of anxiety/insecurity issues, her biggest issue being barking non-stop at visitors. She gets into a stress frenzy, won't stop barking and won't calm down for anyone. She also has a few passive dominance issues.
We knew we needed someone to help us as we were starting to feel desperate and didn't know what to do/how to control Olive's behaviour- internet tips and basic trainers were not helping us. The last thing we wanted was for our anxious dog to develop into an aggressive dog, a road we felt she was heading down.
Mark works by training people to communicate in dog language and how to use those instinctual responses to get good results. No inhumane methods involved, just practical positive reinforcement training (be good and you'll get praise, methods).
One big part of our lesson was teaching me (a big softie) how to be a stronger leader for Olive so that she feels safer and less insecure. Though Olive and I both need lots of practice and training, Mark has given us all the tools we need to succeed. In just 3 hours today I noticed a huge amount of progress, and we all feel really optimistic now that we can resolve Olive's issues. Mark was lovely to work with, practical, hands-on, patient and informative. Mark left us homework, lots of information, some extra bits and bobs to use for training and with the assurance that we can call him anytime we need help or advice.
Overall we're very happy with this service, it's worth the price and I'd definitely recommend Mark to anyone struggling with their dog's behavioural issues. Thank you so much :)

Olive is a dog with huge fear issues of people arriving and pretty much unmanageable when I arrived , The lesson started right then just so we could talk over her anxious barking and guarding. Lots of work to do but Olive responded well and immediately started focussing. Fantastic effort by the owners to take on board and apply our techniques will certainly show results . I'm looking forward to catching up with Olive and co soon.

Monty responded to Mark's training techniques immediately! His behaviour has changed from constantly demanding play, barking and generally being hyperactive to being a much calmer dog. Monty now comes when we give the "Monty come" command and he has stopped barking at outside noises or passing traffic. He responds positively to the "Bah" sound - such an easy and effective tool to get his attention! Overall Monty now knows he is not "top dog" in the pack and he is a much happier dog. Thanks Mark for showing us the Bark Busters way!!

Mark explained why our problems were happening and how to easily ,calmly address and solve it.
They were like different dogs the moment the training started. Easy to follow instructions and techniques , no bribery with food and we regained control so quickly.
This bark Busters technique is the only one I've tried that actually worked with our 3 dogs and the whole pack at once.
I highly recommend Bark Busters to anyone struggling with their dogs behaviours

The 3 dogs in question are all very different in temperament and major barkers but also sibling rivalry aggression was starting to occur. The owners responded with the techiques and saw results almost immediately as each dog was worked with. Two recent revisits for minor adjusting and the house hold is very relaxed.

I got a lot of value out of the session with Mark from Bark Busters. It was reassuring to know that what I'd been doing so far with River was on the right track and to learn new methods and tricks to combat some specific behavioral issues. His insight into dog behavior and reasoning was enlightening.

Rivers a lovely dog but picked up abandoned on a river and in very poor state. Dumped very young with little or no mother dog influence. Fear issues and anxiety are her problems especially of new people . She's a quick learner and not dominant by nature so easy to please. Awesome work already put in place by the owner has saved this dog. Well done.

Good info on being the pack leader, and behaviour correction/consequences for ignoring us. Good initial results seen, especially with lead pulling. Barking at somebody knocking on the door may still take some time. Mark was great, very approachable and we feel welcome to message/email him with any questions, and for further advice on any problems we might have. Good start with Barney, we saw results on the first day, which encourages us to keep working hard with him.

Barneys not a confident dog with other dogs , highly dog reactive and also in home protective , rehome with much education prior to the current owners. He'll come along good but will be a work in progress especially with other dogs. Great work guys.

Really great, thanks Mark. We got a response straight away from Charlie, she was happy to sit outside and not bark and walked really well in the lead. I’ve got a bit of work to do to make sure she keeps it up now. Would definitely recommend.

Mark was great and very easy to learn from and talk to. Both my partner and I attempted completing various exercises with our Husky and with Marks guidance we achieved great results in our first session. We would both highly recommend Mark for an South Island based dog owners who are seeking help in relation to any concerns. Mark was able to finish our training session and leave us feeling happy moving forward with our weeks full of training and some new gear!

Very productive first session, saw huge results in the first few tips Mark gave is which we added to through out the session. Mark showed his knowledge of handling dogs with very different temperaments in the sense that we have a very hypo colly huntaway x and a very mellow huntaway. Mark explained how we should use slightly different voice tones to achieve results with them. All his explanations were thorough but not to technical so it was easy to take in and understand.
The training tools provided were easy to use and used thoroughly throughout the training session

These dogs were creating a sibling rivalry situation that had already resulted in some scuffles as the old guy didn't want the new guy to take top position. Both dogs lead a pretty much off lead life in a lifestyle lock residents with good obedience but not great focus at times . Lots of tweaking and these dogs will be awesome , credit to the owners and the work they're now applying.
