Such an amazing first lesson. Itโ€™s great to have some tools to work with. Incredible to see the dogs responding so quickly.

10th February 2024 - Keiko Ruwhiu

Our 3yr much loved pittie cross was growling at visitors and final straw was snipping at a grandchild who was cuddling her. Our choice was to get formal training or to have her put down. While the cost was almost prohibitive, I worked extra hard to get it asap and can honestly say, after having just one lesson with Keiko, I would now pay twice or three times that, to save my dogs life. Right from the first lesson, we had a different dog. She went from disobedient, not listening, no recall, pulling on the lead, barking at everyone who walked past and wanting to kill every cat around, to a shockingly different dog. We are 4 days in now from the first lesson, and she is quiet, comes to her name, rarely barks, was super gentle with newborn baby the day after the lesson (no muzzle), friendly to strangers while on walk, no pulling on lead, stays on her mat inside instead of wandering around, friendly to our cat, but most of all ... she is actually listening to us. We had watched hundreds of dog training videos and tried all sorts of techniques, but was not prepared for how quickly our dog changed, we even waited 5 hours after Keiko left to see if she would put a paw wrong, so we could practice a correction, but... nothing, no bad behaviour. We have accused Keiko of swapping our naughty dog for a good dog in jest, because we are still so shocked at the sudden and it appears, permanent change in her, it has literally saved her life. Thank you Keiko, for gently showing us what we were doing wrong, and giving us a beautiful new dog!

Keiko is FANTASTIC! From the moment Keiko arrived, the training started. We could no believe the response we had from our dog who is 10 years old. Keiko's explanations make complete sense. Absolutely and utterly well worth every penny spent and highly recommend.

1st February 2024 - Mark Gall

Great to meet Mark and get help with our boy. Am so excited how things went in such a small amount of time - things can only get better from here.

- J.T, Timaru (Testimonial)

Floyd is a 2.5 yr Boxer , lovely lad I've nick named lover boy. Although called in for aggression , pulling and barking ,he's really just anxious and scared. He was very harsh at the front door visitors and other dogs dure to fear aggression and being in charge ( or so he assumed) didn't help. After just 30min of working through off lead focus s exercises in the house it was clear he needed guidance by mum and her take charge. And that's when mr lover boy shone through. Still more work to go with dog reactiveness due to being attacked but certainly huge improves with in the lesson all implemented by the owners. Great work mum and Mr Floyd aka lover boy.

Just wanted to give you a quick update and say a massive thanks! Dug has now slept through the night 3 days in a row. No longer jumping on the couch unless invited. Responding to level 1 (sometimes needs lvl 2) if he looks like heโ€™s going to chase one of the cats. So the cats are becoming more confident around him. The biggy, did some lead training yesterday and took him for a walk this morning. My aim was just to have a walk and use the command and tug if he started pulling. OMG! Best walk ever. Thank you so much. I cannot believe the immediate results and the benefits of your training are strengthening our bond.

Thanks Helen, you made my day! You and Dug, and the cats, are already benefitting from your clear communication and leadership. Being consistent and persistent is the key. He's well on the way from being a puppy to being the dog you want him to be. And you're well on the way to being the leader he needs. Fantastic!

Clear communication, felt comfortable asking questions, fantastic knowledge, punctual and reliable. Within the first session our puppy has been taught valuable obedience skills

- J.V, Christchurch,wainoni (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Young couple , new house , new puppy . Great little soft natured Boxer but does need guidance as the owners aren't totally familiar with bringing up puppies . Work in progress as expected but little Datsun is already picking up the communication the owners are applying. Nice job guys . See you soon for 2nd session.

Very helpful and I feel that I will find Mark good to work with. Covered a lot of ground. Quite tiring, mentally and physically for both of us. Pansy and I will both have to work hard for some time to achieve results. I will need some support, maybe more than others more active. I am thinking about a programme for the next months.

- M.T, Rangiora (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
This is a special case , 88 year old lady and a very pushy but lovely 5 yr old Shihtzu x Maltese. rushes to greet guests, Pulls, barks , recall not good, dog reactive to one dog in the retirement village. A work in progress and we are taking small slow steps at the owners pace so haven't got to the aggression issues yet. Hence not all problems were covered in the first lesson. The dog responded well considering it's been in charge for many years but progress is happening. And practice will be required. Receipt and guarantee haven't been written up yet and review was done one day after our first session on the first of many lessons.

18th January 2024 - Mark Gall

Ghost Staffy and Hank Boxer had issues on different end of the scale, Ghost was high adrenaline and a jumper who loves people and Hank didn't like men and would be scared. Mark explained clearly what was happening with each dog and the best way to teach them. In just a few days we have seen a huge change in both dogs.

- K.W, Leithfield (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
As Kirsten has indicated these two lovely dogs are chalk and cheese in temperament and application. Ghost is such a lover boy he can't contain himself with people. And Hank busy hiding away from the same people. Both the dogs and the owners applied the techniques shown to communicate really well with both dogs even though the problems where so different. I'll expect two pretty relaxed dogs on my next visit , Still works in progress though as dogs need guidance to know exactly what to do. Great work to the boys and great work too Kirsten.

15th January 2024 - Mark Gall

Mark dealt with Aggression, Pulling, Sibling rivalry

Mark was very informative and helpful. We had nearly immediate changes with Marley.

- L.C, Dallington, Christchurch (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Little Marley is a young Border Collie. lovely temperament but reactive to dogs and big barker at the door also pulls and forgets to respond to his name. He responded well in our first lesson teaching the owners to communicate in a way he can relate too. Still a work in progress and a second visit soon will help clarify and adjust what's not quite there yet. Nice job Marley and Pawrents.

15th January 2024 - Keiko Ruwhiu

Keiko dealt with Barking, Pulling, Recall, Sibling rivalry

The session was very informative and clear as to what was required from my husband and I with regards to the training of our dog. A definite improvement from the start which can only become better as we progress with training.

Mark dealt with Aggression, Barking, Pulling, Recall, Separation anxiety, Sibling rivalry

The training definitely exceeded our expectations. Still a long way to go with barking at cars and door knocks, however recall to his bed and in general has improved greatly and also walking on the lead. Trying to practise daily which you can see a difference when consistent. Red has had a traumatic past and has triggers towards aggression which we are now able to see before things escalate and with the use of the dog commands he is learning to reset. It was the best thing we did getting help.

- E.R, Southshore (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Mark
Certainly a serious issue to deal with as Red a 10 yr old Red heeler who has had a bad upbringing and most probably some physical abuse hence his fear aggression when voices got loud or activity got high . He focussed on defending his new mum against the hubby , to point of biting. After the lesson he was certainly much better behaved but also the need to work slowly and carefully at the level Red can handle to desensitize to high adrenaline stimulus. I'll be keen to take further steps in teaching the owners to understand him and work him through his fears. Awesome job guys.
