We contacted Bark Busters after viewing their website. Their Lifetime Support Guarantee was the deciding factor. At our meeting with Keiko, we were impressed by her professionalism. She is a diligent and experienced trainer/therapist and very good at what she does. She provided valuable tools to help us be the best Pack Leader to Sydney, our cocker spaniel. She was exceptionally meticulous when articulating the techniques. She was also very patient and encouraging whilst we practiced her methods. It’s early days still, but we are pleasantly surprised by our immediate successes. As practice makes perfect, we persist daily with the training schedule that Keiko encouraged us to maintain. We couldn’t believe the change we saw in Zinny on the first day. Keiko explained why Zinny behaves the way he does and a lot of what she said made sense. The training tips are very simple and are making a huge difference. His pulling when walking has improved immensely in only a couple of days and I actually enjoy walking him now. His barking has definitely reduced and we have been able to redirect his attention when he is growling or barking at neighbours or cats. 3 days after our training someone tried to break into our house during the night and Zinny responding perfectly by alerting us and scaring off the intruder, we were so grateful for him protecting us like he did. We can’t wait to see the changes in Zinny over the next few weeks!

Keiko was very thorough and patient. She took into account our young children and need to make things safe for both our puppy and our children (and other children). The advice extended to a holistic approach and we learned a lot. Also fantastic is having follow up to work through the things that come up.

Mark is great. He has made such a difference to our dog’s behaviour in particular Millie who was out of control. She was terrible at pulling on the lead and he stopped this in one lesson. They no longer go out and bark at every sound. They are also much calmer. Thank you Mark for giving us back our sanity and reducing our stress levels. We still have some work to do and we are looking forward to our next session.

Keiko was so professional and knowledgeable. She worked so well with our family and Bernie and dog. She was very accommodating in the times she could meet us and at no time did we feel Bernie was a lost cause and we actually think he has changed in just 2 days.

I have a 9 month old Husky/ German Shepherd X and needed help training her. Remy is sweet, sassy and a little stubborn. She is really anxious out by roads, very distracted and quite reactive. Keiko has been a big help and given me a lot of encouragement and hope. Walking her on a leash made me anxious as she would just pull and react to everything around her (including trying to chase every car that drove past) I have had a few sessions with Keiko and saw immediate improvements in Remy's behaviour. She has become more obedient and responsive. Remy is learning to walk on her leash without pulling or biting it. We are now working with her out on my busy street. With Keiko's help Remy is learning to sit by the road (not chasing cars) and is learning to stay focused on me. I am feeling less anxious and I'm pretty sure Remy is too! When Aunty Keiko comes to teach us Remy is a show off and does what Aunty Keiko tells her to do - this shows me that Remy is capable! I'm so grateful to have Keiko's support and expertise and it's so good knowing I can contact her whenever I have any questions or need help.

From my initial online query Keiko was very quick to respond. We had a lengthy telephone conversation during which Keiko outlined the ideas behind Bark Busters, the training involved and the cost. Our dog Maggie was getting increasingly worse barking at everything and everyone, including family members she knew well so we knew we had to do something. Very happy we made the connection with Keiko. From her first visit Keiko explained so much about Maggie that we hadn't thought of and suggested ways of distracting her from barking, and that Maggie was probably quite happy to give up the feeling of having to "protect" us. We spent a full morning talking with Keiko and looking at video clips which showed us a different perspective of a barking dog and then we did some basic "human" and dog training. This has certainly paid off and we now have a far more relaxed dog and home life. Maggie still has a long way to go and we know it's up to us to keep up the training. Keiko has visited a second time and agrees there certainly is improvement, giving us a few more hints and encouragement. It is good to know that Keiko is always at the end of the phone or happy to come out for a visit should we have further issues or hit a stalemate. I would certainly recommend the psychology behind Bark Busters and in particular Keiko who is very knowledgeable and approachable. Thank you Keiko for making Maggie and our homelife calmer and so much more enjoyable.

Keiko is not simply a dog trainer, she is a teacher that helps us human to establish the understandings of the dogs and the way to interact with them. She is nice and professional, we see instance changes on our dogs, and of course us, since her first visit. She explains the procedures clearly and always ensures we know how to manipulate the techniques before she finishes the session. Highly recommended!

Mark is absolutely amazing! He is clear, calm and encouraging! In just 1 visit, Mark has given us the skills and confidence we need to help turn our English Springer into the dog we want. This has been the best money we have ever spent on a dog. I wish we had done it sooner instead of wasting money on all the different types of training leads! The next time we get a new dog or puppy, Mark will be the first person we call.

We had Mark come around for our first in home visit, then next day we did our walk, and wow I got Astro to sit and watch as people walked nearby, a dog walked out of their house and down the road as well as a cat that came outside it's house, no pulling or barking. Absolutely amazing, normally he would pull our arm off and bark and try to get to them, our journey has only just begun with Mark but I can't wait to see how our adventure into sorting out Astros issues goes. No one down here was willing to help us but Mark put his hand up and we are so glad he did. I highly recommend Mark and BarkBusters.. Your help means so much to us.

Where do I begin! We adopted Ranger, our 18month old Golden Over a month ago. He was a terrible puller on lead. Would paw, nudge, bark and jump up for attention. Terrified of going on our kitchen floor that was lino as he slipped the day we got him and refused to go in and out of the car. Absolutely hated cars. A very sensitive boy and quite shut down with his fears. Mark was amazing! We learnt so so much and by the end of the first training session our boy hopped in and out of the car , no lead at all and walked across the lino floor many times! We have also noticed a change in how our dogs interact with each other and Ranger is more calm, not demanding attention. They also don’t walk out and open door until we say so! ? Invaluable skills every dog owner should know! We are blown away and so grateful to Mark! He’s a fantastic trainer and the dogs loved him, so did we! Can’t wait to learn more next visit! Ranger was a great temperament dog but few rules applied by the previous owners. And he had fear issues and anxiety. Since the lesson and follow up session improvements in all the problems he have been significant. Mostly as the clients were committed and needed to rectify the problems to have an amicable house hold. Awesome work guys, I appreciate the review.
